PolkaBEATS 2012

Mitte des letzten Jahrzehnts gründeten Filmemacher und Poet Ralf Schuster mit dem Philosophen und Musiker Mario Harz das ASO (altdeutsch auch Akkordeon Salon Orchester genannt). Im Sommer 2011 entdeckten Cottbuser Studenten, dass es dem ASO sowohl an einem Salon, als auch an einem Orchester mangelte. Zumindest bei Letztrem schafften sie Abhilfe und erweiterten die Besetzung mit Bariton, Klarinette und Sängerinnen. Ein richtiges Orchester eben. Live bietet das ASO ein paar Klassiker von Schusters Liedern, garniert mit Polkamutationen, und in den Pausen dazwischen sprengen amüsante Kurzfilme die Grenzen jeglicher Klischees.

PolkaBEATS 2012

Filmmaker and poet Ralf Schuster with philosopher and musician Mario Harz founded the ASO (also known as the “Akkordeon Salon Orchester” (Accordion Salon Orchestra) in old German) in the middle of the past decade. In the summer of 2011, students in Cottbus discovered that the ASO lacked both a salon and an orchestra. They were able to help, at least with the latter, and expanded the ensemble with baritone, clarinet and vocalists. A real orchestra in other words.  In live performances, the ASO offers some classic numbers by Schuster garnished with polka mutations, while amusing short films break the boundaries of all clichés during the intermissions.

W połowie ostatniego dziesięciolecia producent filmowy i poeta Ralf Schuster założył wraz z filozofem i muzykiem Mario Harzem ASO (ze staroniemieckiego nazywana również również Akordeonową Orkiestrą Salonową – Akkordeon Salon Orchester). Latem 2011 roku studenci z Cottbus odkryli, że ASO brakuje zarówno salonu, jak również orkiestry. Przynajmniej w przypadku tego drugiego udało im się pomóc i poszerzyli oni skład o bryton, klarnet i piosenkarki. Teraz to prawdziwa orkiestra. Grupa ASO oferuje na żywo kilka klasyków z repertuaru piosenek Schustera, doprawionych mutacjami polki, a w przerwach między graniem zabawne filmy zrywają granice wszelkich stereotypów.
