Traditionel & Moderne Dansk Folkedans – Embla ist eine Tanzgruppe, die traditionelle dänische Tänze bewahrt, weiterentwickelt, lehrt und aufführt. Die Gruppe besteht ausschließlich aus Frauen im Alter zwischen 20 und 30 Jahren. Embla wurde während der Dänischen FolkTanz Meisterschaften (Danish Folkdance Championship) im Jahr 2007 gegründet.
Ihre aktuelle Tanzshow „Nornernes sal“ ist ein Mix aus Anmut und rockenden Rhythmen und eine Reise durch die Geschichte der nordischen Folkmusik und deren Tanz.
Embla war bereits auf diversen Festivals zu Gast. Z.B: Odense Folk Festival (DK) – Musik over Præstø Fjord (DK) – Hilmarfestivalen (NO) – Korrö Folkmusikfestival (SE) – Strib Vinterfestival (DK), TFF Rudolstadt (DE) u.a.

Embla arose in connection with the Danish Championship in danish folk dance in 2007 where we participated and won bronze – since then we’ve been dancing and performing together!
Embla is only consisting of girls aged 20-30 years, which concentrate on the dance, the music and the details. This is what forms our show in which we want to give the audience a good and immersive experience, with a mixture of grace and rocking rhythms.
The show will last approx. 30 min. and will include 6-8 dancers and 3 musicians who combined will give the folk dance a fresh breath of creativity, but with roots deep en traditional Danish and Scandinavian folk dances.
Besides being great dancers, several of the dancers in the group is trained in teaching folk dancing and others in teaching folk music. So we can offer dance and music workshops in traditional Danish folk dancing and folk music. Length and themes on both will be adapted to your needs and desires.

Embla to grupa taneczna, która pielęgnuje tradycję duńskich tańców, rozwija je, uczy ich i prezentuje. Grupa składa się wyłącznie z kobiet w wieku od 20 do 30 lat. Embla została założona podczas Duńskich Mistrzostw Tańca Folkowego (Danish Folkdance Championship) w roku 2007. Jej aktualne taneczne show „Nornernes sal“ jest mieszanką wdzięku i rockowych rytmów, a także podróżą przez historię nordyckiej muzyki folkowej i tańca.
Embla była gościem wielu przeróżnych festiwali. Np.: Odense Folk Festival (DK) – Musik over Præstø Fjord (DK) – Hilmarfestivalen (NO) – Korrö Folkmusikfestival (SE) – Strib Vinterfestival (DK), TFF Rudolstadt (DE) i innych.
